"I have taken more than 25 tours internationally, and your company far surpassed any tours I have taken so far."
"The company certainly lived up to its motto 'first class and worry free'.
I would be very glad to act as a reference for future travel guests. In fact, I have already recommended Exploration Journeys to two of my traveling friends."
TRIP REVIEW OF BETTE BRICKMAN
I just returned from an 8-day trip to Argentina, tailored for me by Exploration Journeys, and the company certainly lived up to its motto "first class and worry free."
Worry free: The web site was easy to navigate and prompted me to include all of the vital information for scheduling the trip. Well before leaving, I received an amazingly detailed travel booklet (by email and also by FedEx) that had all details about the cities I would visit in Argentina and, briefly, Brazil (Buenos Aires, Iguazu and Ushuaia), and tear-out vouchers for each hotel, activity and transfer. Included in the tour package was the Brazilian visa that Fred helped me to painlessly obtain (which I understand can be an expensive and complicated process.) Transfer drivers were professional and arrived at least on time, if not early. When I reached a hotel, the front desk personnel would already know that I was on my way and would have my room key (even before check in time) and other information available as I walked through the door. Every evening before an event, Fred would email me with details about the transfer and activity and include a copy of boarding passes for flights, though the drivers would also hand me boarding passes upon the transfer. Fred included all of his contact numbers, and also answered his email promptly if I had a question.
First class: I was always assigned the best possible rooms at the hotels and, even though there were several options for flights to each city, Fred had chosen the flights and airlines that had excellent travel ratings, and though it was a busy travel season, I received the seat locations I had requested. Pick up times for transfers gave me time to have breakfast and get ready for the activity. Fred’s subcontractors for activities, Canal Fun and EB Group, provided excellent services. Therefore, I would also add "attention to detail" to describe this tour company.
I have taken more than 25 tours internationally, and your company far surpassed any tours I have taken so far. I would be very glad to act as a reference for future travel guests. In fact, I have already recommended Exploration Journeys to two of my traveling friends.

Beholding Breathtaking Panoramic Views of the Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian Side With 80% of the falls located on the Argentine side, it is only from the Brazilian side that one can see almost all of them at once, in full, breathtakingly panoramic views. The Brazilian side offers majestic scenic views of the beauty and entirety of the falls; this is because the Brazilian footbridge lies across the river from the falls, offering a unique perspective and epic scenic views, making the Brazilian side different and absolutely complementary to what you see from the Argentine side. This is a half-day group tour. |
DAY 3: IGUAZU |
|
Witness the Unique Power & Might of the Iguazu Falls from the Argentine Side “You might have seen the photos. Even read about it. You might have visited other great waterfalls before. But you probably still have no idea what to expect when you come face to face with the almighty Iguazu Falls,” stated CNN in their article “Iguazu Falls: Why this natural wonder should be on everyone’s bucket list". To put that into perspective, Iguazu Falls is nearly twice as tall as Niagara Falls and nearly three times as wide. The late U.S. First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt, was reportedly so impressed by the sight of Iguazu Falls that she exclaimed “Poor Niagara!” In 1984, Iguazu Falls became a UNESCO World Heritage Site; and in 2011, it was selected as one of the 7 winners of the “New Seven Wonders of Nature” worldwide competition in which more than 100 million votes were cast. Their size and scale are unlike any other waterfall on Earth. Made up of a system of 275 waterfalls, they have a staggering water flow of up to almost 3.5 million gallons (13 million liters) per second – enough to fill five Olympic swimming pools! Unlike Niagara Falls, which is surrounded by developments such as casinos, a revolving restaurant, and coffee shops, Iguazu Falls are located within one of the few remaining inland rainforests in South America, the Atlantic rainforest, which is a haven for more than 2,000 plant species, about 400 birds species, and 80 types of mammals! This is a full-day group tour. |

Our speedboat will zip the waters of the Iguazu River and approach the falls getting thoroughly splashed by their mist as you hear their loud roar! This ride provides a unique and extremely close-up view of the San Martin and Three Musketeers falls with the opportunity to take outstanding close-up photos. The high point of this experience will be without a doubt, being showered under the mist of the San Martin Falls; the second strongest falls in the Iguazu system. Now it’s time to hop on board and begin our waterfall adventure! This is a 12-minute group tour and is done on the same day you do the Argentinean side of the falls tour. The Beagle Channel Odyssey of Discovery: The Gable Expedition Get ready to experience a one-of-a-kind canoeing and trekking adventure at the Ends of the Earth! We’ll set off to explore the mighty Beagle Channel: the same waters navigated by the first founders of Ushuaia and by adventurous explorers the likes of naturalist Charles Darwin. As we follow this route in our canoes, we’ll feel both a sense of freedom and isolation from civilization, taking us back to a time when the Yamana tribe inhabited this distant corner of the planet. We’ll also make a brief stop at Martillo Island where, from our boat, we’ll have the opportunity to observe a colony of Magellanic penguins. Our final destination will take us off-the-beaten-path and onto the remote, uninhabited Gable Island; the largest island in the Beagle Channel. This is a full-day group tour and includes lunch with non-alcoholic beverages & wine. |
DAY 6: USHUAIA |
|
A Trekking Adventure to the Vinciguerra Glacier Prepare to experience trekking at the ends of the Earth, ascending nearly 2,000 feet (600 meters) through the forest, and trekking beyond treetops, to be greeted by beautiful panoramic views of the nearby snow-capped mountains, and pristine glacial lakes!
